HUGH COLE BUILDER INC. With more than 27 years of experience as a builder of new homes, Hugh Cole is a longtime member of the GMHBA. Hugh also served as resident of the local association in 1986. A past president of the Hoe Builders Association of Alabama, Hugh was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2004, and he continues to serve in several capacities on the state level. Hugh has two children, son Thomas, 22, and daughter Lindsey, 19, and is an active member of Frazer United Methodist Church right here in Montgomery. CAMBRIDGE HOMES Starting his career as a commercial real estate lender, 17-year veteran banking industry professional Joe Sellers opened Cambridge Homes, LLC in April 2005. His past experience gave him a foundational background to operate a successful building company. Never content to simply sit behind the big desk, Joe is a hands-on builder who takes part in every detail from materials selection, design and the finishes of each floor plan. Quality is a family business for Cambridge Homes, with Joe’s wife Amy riding point on the decoration and marketing the homes, also assisting in the day-to-day operation of the company. Joe and Amy are also graduates of Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM), with Joe later receiving a degree from The Alabama Banking School at the University of South Alabama. Joe’s father Billy, a retired military pilot, assists in managing all job sites. Joe and Amy have been married for 22 years and have two children. Their son Will is presently attending Southern Union State Community College on a baseball scholarship and plans to study building design. Both children are active in the family business.
